Ahlan Wasahlan to The Garden Of Knowledge & Virtue
Assalamua’laikum warahmatullah wa barakatuh..
Praise be to Allah, the Most Greatest in His self-decorated universe for blessing us with Islam and Iman. Selawat and Salam to the Messenger of Allah s.a.w. and to all his beloved family members and companions who had drafted a very significant legacy in the humans’ history which is Islam.
First and foremost, allow me to convey the heartiest “Ahlan wa Sahlan wa Marhaban bikum” to all new comers of this glorious International Islamic University Malaysia. Your presence in this Garden of Knowledge and Virtue is very much awaited and welcomed by the whole entity of the Ma’ruf Club.
A well-known historic Indian democrat, Mahatma Gandhi had once said: “You must be the change you wish to see in this world”. This denotes a very significant concept which is similar to the teaching of Islam i.e. “Allah will not change a group until they change themselves…” This verse indicates that the change we desire in any field will not be a reality without our own efforts and endeavors to materialize it.
Life in this campus is never easy. We are surrounded with a number of inevitable challenges and hindrances that we have to face up in our daily life. With all those academic obligations such as classes, tutorials, assignments, projects and so on, our life will turn to be chaotic if we put no attempts to manage them systematically and effectively. What more our commitments as university students are not confined in the academic boundaries per se, but beyond that, we owe responsibilities towards our fellow friends, our university, our society as well as our own nation.
Therefore, we must be clever enough to balance all those responsibilities without putting aside either purposely or negligently any one of them. Everything should start from our selves. If we do not dare to change today, never dream to be a great person tomorrow. Never ever open your eyes after the dawn shines without a new hope and to improve your life for your own benefits and so the others.
Lastly, Ma’ruf Club welcomes all the new students to this University. We are looking forward to witness this new generation of IIUM turn up to be the greatest generation in this country in future, as desired by the founding fathers of this University. We are always ready to work hand in hand with all of you in order to assist you in adjusting yourselves in this University. Let us live in this International University with high spirit of brotherhood so as to strengthen our unity as a great Ummah on this earth.
Thank You, Wassalam..
